Droid

by Adisa on Feb.11, 2010, under Tech

I have a droid. Smart phones are great for the active lifestyle. I have used it for a little over a week now. The blackberry was old so it was no chance it could keep up with this. The nexus looked great but the lack of a keyboard seemed less than optimal for me.

Facebook Issues

by Adisa on Jul.14, 2009, under Funny, Tech, Uncategorized

I’m finally getting into Facebook. Funny how much my phone rings off the hook with questions about the internet and computers. I really enjoy tech questions because I think I shine. I seem to have never taken to these social networks very well. Last month, I tried to send a comment about some shows I was doing with TripKnight, as well as the Black Rock City All Stars, when I inadvertently hit reply on a comment from this girl I used to know, that was all about her bad day. Seeing her picture reminded me of a resource I needed, so I emailed her (at least I think I did). Now, in one day I went from occasionally signing on, to amateur facebook cyberstalker tech doofus. She never wrote me back, but that’s ok. I know I’m sharp.

April Watch List

by Adisa on Apr.20, 2009, under Tech

This is the first of my monthly watch list. Each month I want to let people know about some of the cool products I come across.

TechCrunch.com: because I check it more than I check my own sites.

Google Voice: I have a number. This thing is magical. I have been beta testing it for a while now and it has been very useful to me. Right now there is a waiting list to get a number but I would check the site often to get one as soon as it’s available. Or check Techcrunch once per day and they will likely tell you.

Twitter: April has been the month for Twitter.

Google alerts: I typically love anything coming out of Google. This product is especially useful to the artist on the rise. You can have every occurrence of your name being used on the web emailed to you, or subscribe to an RSS feed.

FriendFeed.com: This product will allow you to send various posts to your twitter account. As an artist, you must keep your various pages up to date and it is difficult to post messages across many different sites. You can even have your Google alerts posted through FriendFeed to your Twitter account. “Real Gangster”.

Google Documents: If you are not using this, you are not taking complete advantage of the tools at your disposal. Note: you don’t have to create a gmail account to set up a Google Document account. You can use the email you are currently using.
